MATH2061 at the Summer School

Check your marks

MATH2061 students: please check that your marks for Quiz 1 - Linear Mathematics and Quiz 2 - Vector Calculus have been recorded correctly by pressing the "Check marks" button.

Please note that any corrections to Quiz 1 - Linear Mathematics marks must be made by Friday, Feb 01.
Please note that any corrections to Quiz 2 - Vector Calculus marks must be made by Friday, Feb 22.

Your lecturer for MATH2061 is Dr Brad Roberts.

Consultation Hours

Dr Brad Roberts will hold consultation sessions on Thursdays at 14:00–15:00 in Carslaw 605.

Pre-exam consultations will be held at the following times and locations:

  • 14:00-16:00 on Tuesday 12 February in Carslaw 535
  • 14:00-16:00 on Wednesday 13 February in Carslaw 535
  • 14:00-16:00 on Thursday 14 February in Abercrombie Business School 1140

Canvas

Please familiarise yourself with the MATH2061 Canvas site, as you will need to visit it to submit your assignments, check your marks, and view lecture recordings. In particular, you should click the "Let's get started!" button on the MATH2061 Canvas homepage and complete the Unlock Module ASAP. You will not be able to access Turnitin assignment submission inboxes before doing this.

Exam

The exam will take place at 13:50–16:00 on Friday, 15th February in Location TBA.

Please bring a nonprogrammable calculator, pens, and your student ID card. Do NOT bring your own paper or programmable calculators into the examination room. Your calculator MUST have a University of Sydney approval sticker on it, which you can obtain from the Student Centre on Level 3 of the Jane Foss Russell Building. Please remove the cover of your calculator and only bring the calculator itself.

You will be given 10 minutes of reading time and then 120 minutes of writing time. To prepare for the exam, first attempt ALL tutorial questions, and then consult past exam papers (see below). You should also review the problems from assignments and quizzes.

The solutions for the 2011 exam will be discussed in lectures. Solutions for examinations papers from other years will not be released. Students are encouraged to discuss questions from all other examination papers on the Ed Discussion forum.
