The School's research effort is organized into the four Research Groups listed below.
Each group is actively concerned with research in
a broad common field of mathematics, modelling or statistics.
However, the research areas within each group can and do
vary quite significantly as detailed in the following descriptions
of their activities. Each group strives to achieve international
recognition through the excellence of its research, scholarship and
graduate supervision. As mentioned earlier, prospective research applicants
are encouraged to contact the representative(s) most relevant to
their interests, either by writing directly, by email or by fax (see Section
7 for contact details).
