Abstract

A simplified model called drift-diffusion system is one of the fluid mechanical approximations of astronomy gas and it is reduced from the compressible Navier-Stokes-Poisson system. We we give a short history of such reductions and consider two critical exponents. We then discuss mainly the existence of global solutions between two critical exponents. This is a joint work with Atsushi Kimijima and Kazushige Nakagawa.
