The AGR National Seminar Series
Abrams and Devlin
Dear AMSI members,
AMSI is very proud to announce a new seminar series for the Access Grid network, brought to you in collaboration with AustMS, ANZIAM, SSAI, ASOR and ANZAMP. During the coming year, expect to receive announcements for AGR seminars by a number of eminent mathematicians and statisticians. The series will start with the following 2 seminars:
- Friday 8 February, 4.00 pm AEDT - Gene Abrams – Leavitt Path Algebras, something for everyone: algebra, analysis, graph theory, number theory
- Monday 11 February, 3.00 pm AEDT – Keith Devlin - What do K-12 education, the modern battlefield, the movie Memento, and a 64,000 student Stanford MOOC have in common?
More information, including the abstracts of these seminars, is available at the
National Seminar Series web site
If you are interested in attending this seminar in our access grid room then please check to see if the grid is already booked at this time and send an email to email@example.com to let the CSOs know that you would like to attend.
Please also email Maaike Wienk, with a cc to the AGR contact at the host institution, one week in advance at the latest.
