Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Loyola University Chicago
Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment, beginning in the fall semester of 2010 subject to final approval of funding.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in mathematics, an active research program in algebra, and demonstrated experience in, and commitment to, quality teaching at the university level.
Application materials, consisting of a current Curriculum Vitae, cover letter, statement of teaching philosophy and research interests, should be submitted to www.mathjobs.org. At the same website, applicants should arrange for the submission of three letters from professional references. At least one letter should specifically address the candidate's teaching qualifications.
A simple application also must be filed electronically at www.careers.luc.edu. However there is no need to provide a second copy of the various items of documentation.
Review of applications will begin January 7, 2010 and continue until the position is filled.
