The Department of Mathematics at University at Buffalo, State University of New York, invites applications for a post-doctoral position
, effective August, 2012. This position is intended for a new or recent Ph.D. with outstanding potential in research and excellent teaching. It is a one-year position, which is renewable for a second year based on satisfactory performance. The post-doc will be expected to teach two courses per year.
Preference will be given to the candidates working in geometric representation theory, categorification, cluster algebras or group representations, and meshing well with the research of current faculty in the department. However, exceptional candidates in related fields are encouraged to apply.
