Julia for Statisticians half-day course

The NSW Branch of the Statistical Society of Australia (jointly with ACEMS, 
the ARC Centre of Excellence) is putting on a half-day short course on the
Julia computing language, aimed at statisticians. Julia is a high-level language
for technical computing which manages to attain very high performance comparable 
to low-level languages like C and Fortran. For more information see the julia

The course will be held at UTS on Tuesday 17 November. There are still some spots left,
the early-bird criterion is "payment before 10 November" (Tuesday next week).

There are discounts for being a Stats Society member and for being a student.
