SUMS: Zheng -- "1 = 1+1"

This week’s SUMS talk is by Cambridge student Jonathan Zheng. Free pizza available
afterwards.

Starting with some basic group and set theory, I will provide a brief proof of
the famous Banach-Tarski paradox, which states that you can chop up a sphere into
finitely many pieces and reassemble them into two spheres of the same size.
