Applications are now open for the 4th Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF), to be held 18-23 September 2016 in Heidelberg, Germany. The meeting allows young researchers to meet with and be inspired by winners of the Abel Prize and Fields Medal (mathematics) and the Turing Award and Nevanlinna Prize (computer science).
Self-nominations are available for young researchers, however nominations by bodies such as the Academy (in our role as adhering body to the International Mathematical Union, a partner of the HLF) carry additional consideration. Successful nominees will be invited by AMSI and AustMS to apply for travel funding (up to $3k) via the AMSI/AustMS Heidelberg Laureate Forum Travel Fund. Board, lodging and meeting registration are provided by the HLF.
Applications should be made at the Academy’s application website before Friday 8 January 2016
Compiled applications will be forwarded on Monday 11 January 2016 to the NC Maths for selection of four final nominees by Monday 25 January 2016
Applicants will be notified of the result by Wednesday 27 January
Selected applicants will then need to complete an online profile by Wednesday 3 February 2016
Unselected applicants will be able to self-nominate by Wednesday 3 February 2016
