Mathematical Biology Discussion Group - The Joker effect: cooperation driven by destructive agents

The next mathematical biology discussion group will be held this Thursday (the 20th of
October) at 2pm in Carslaw Room 707A.

This week we will examine the effects of introducing destructive agents (inspired by
Christopher Nolan and Heath Ledger’s interpretation of the Joker from the film The Dark
Knight) to a standard Public Goods game. A public goods game is an n-player version of
the well known Prisoner’s Dilemma.
