Clifford Theory and quasinilpotent subgroups
Friday 28th August, 121pm, Carslaw 273.
We use Cliffor theoretic reductions to reduce some
questions about (ordinary and modular) irreducible characters
of finite groups to the generally easier case
when the group is quasinilpotent, or in some cases,
quasisimple. Even in the case of solvable groups, some
apparently new resulst are obtained.
