On classification of isolated singularities of solutions associated with the Hardy--Sobolev operator

Wednesday 6th May 14:05-14:55pm, Eastern Avenue Lecture Theatre.

In this talk we present a complete classification of the isolated singularities of stationary solutions for nonlinear Schrodinger-type equations. We reveal a trichotomy of positive singular solutions in the case of superlinear nonlinearities with subcritical growth, where the fundamental solutions associated with the Hardy-Sobolev operator play a crucial role. This is joint work with N. Chaudhuri (University of Wollongong).
