This semester we will be running a seminar series on abelian varieties, 
using Kempf's book Complex Abelian Varieties and Theta Functions as 
outline.  Interested postgraduates and others are encouraged to attend. 
The first lecture will be by King Fai Lai this Friday, introducing 
Kahler manifolds.
