An introduction to Néron Models (part II)

In this talk I will give the formal definition of a Néron model for an abelian variety. Restricting to dimension 1 case, we will study arithmetic surfaces, leading to the definition of a minimal model - the main object used to prove the existence of the Néron model for an elliptic curve.
