MATH2061 Linear Mathematics and Vector Calculus

Class representatives
You can email your representatives and let them know your views about second year courses. (Note: Do NOT email these people with mathematics problems!). Your representatives will meet with staff in week 7 or week 8 to discuss issues.
Duty Tutors
Students needing help with understanding the content of units of study MATH1011, MATH1015, MATH1001, MATH1002 and MATH2061 are encouraged to seek help from their lecturers, or from our duty tutors. Consultation times for lecturers are given on the respective unit of study information sheet, a click away from the unit of study webpage.
Duty tutors are available in Carslaw 830 (level 8, Carslaw Building) on Mondays and Thursdays between 1pm and 2pm, from Week 3 to Week 13 (excluding the Easter Teaching Break 06-13 April), commencing 1 pm on Monday 19 March 2012.
The Duty Tutors are all Teaching Fellows in the School and especially experienced at assisting and advising students. They are

- Quizzes
- The linear mathematics quiz was held on Thursday 19 April. Marks are available below. The scanned quiz papers have been returned to the pigeonholes on Carslaw level 3, adjacent to the second year assignment collection boxes.
- The vector calculus QUIZ will be held during your practice class on Thursday 31 May (Week 12).

You must sit for the quiz in the practice class shown on your
University timetable, otherwise your mark cannot be recorded.
- You will need to place your student card on the desk during the quiz.
- The Vector Calculus quiz will consist of 15 multiple choice questions based on the material covered during lectures up to the end of Week 10. This material is covered in Chapters 1-5 (up to Section 5.3) of the Course Notes for Vector Calculus, in practice sessions 7-10 and in tutorials 7-10 (Weeks 8-11).
- The time allowed for the quiz is 40 minutes.
- Answers to the questions are to be entered on a scannable sheet. Please bring a soft lead pencil, and an eraser to the quiz with you.

Assignments
The linear mathematics assignment was due on Friday 30 March.
