MATH2067 Differential Equations and Vector Calculus for Engineers

General Information

This page contains information on the Intermediate Unit of Study MATH2067: Differential Equations and Vector Calculus for Engineers.

This unit is offered in Semester 1.

The unit has two parts:

  • The first part is Differential Equations, and the lecturer is Ron James.
  • The second part is Vector Calculus; for this part MATH2067 is combined with MATH2061. The lecturers are Alexander Molev and Rosemary Thompson.

Every MATH2067 student attends a Computer Lab in Weeks 1 to 7 and a Vector Calculus Tutorial in Weeks 8 to 13. Some students have been timetabled into tutorials that claim to go from Week 2 to Week 13. These are actually MATH2061 tutorials: the MATH2067 students should not attend these tutorials in Weeks 2 to 7 but should join the class for Weeks 8 to 13 (when the Vector Calculus tutorials start).

For further information on Intermediate Mathematics and Statistics, refer to the Intermediate Handbook.

You may also view the Faculty Handbook entry for MATH2067 from the central units of study database.

  • Credit point value: 6CP.
  • Classes per week: Three lectures, one tutorial and one practice class.

Online resources

All online material for the Differential Equations part can be obtained from the MATH2067 Differential Equations page.

For the Vector Calculus part refer to the MATH2061 page.
