Check the official exam timetable and information for the time and date of the exam.
Only material covered in lectures and tutorials will be tested. The exam will also contain questions on the theory and proofs, and not just problems to solve.
- No notes are permitted.
- No calculators are permitted.
You can look at two previous exams: practice exam with solutions and the 2010 exam with solutions.
The Assignment is now available.
The pdf file of the Assignment is provided in the Schedule below (see Week 9). Please note that the deadline for Assignment submission is Friday, 6 May by 5pm in Carslaw Room 719.
Information about Quiz 1.
Quiz 1 takes place during the practice class on Thursday March 31 in Carslaw 175 (the usual room for practice class). The material covered is up to and including Section 12 in the Lecture notes. Only material covered in lectures and tutorials will be tested. The quiz will also contain questions on the theory and proofs, and not just problems to solve. For some questions, you need only provide the answer without justification. For other questions, you need to justify the answer and the work will be marked. Make sure you know the main definitions and main theorems. The quiz will also include some short proofs. Note that all rules regarding special consideration apply.
No notes or calculators are permitted.
- Please note change of venue: Starting from week 2 (Monday, 7 March), the lectures on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays will take place in Carslaw 275. However, the Thursday practice classes will remain in Carslaw 175.
