Typographical errors found in the lecture notes
p. 5, six lines after Eq. (1.4c): the equation should be P'(t) = -3P
p. 13, seven lines from the bottom: the sentence should end "arrow pointing right". (see Fig. 2.1)
p. 30, sentence after Eq. (4.9) should read
"Graphically, the quantity inside the absolute value signs is the slope
of the line that joins P to the intersection point of the curve and the
diagonal line."
p.50, The differential equation should be dX/dt = cos(t) X2 with nothing in the denominator.
p. 51, Likewise the RHS of the first equation is cos(t) times X2
