| 18 Jun | Not having official course notes makes it very difficult to revise content and study for exams. I seem to be wasting a lot of time searching for definitions or examples, etc. in my handwritten notes (I simply don't have time to type them!) that makes studying quite tedious. The other notes given on this webpage sometimes have different definitions and it's sometimes hard to keep track of.
Great course though! |
| 11 Jun | The "recap of the previous lecture" at the beginning of each lecture was extremely helpful not only for during lectures but also in revising notes (since with handwritten notes it's a lot harder to find theorems, etc.)
On that note, not having a hard copy of notes to follow along with that has the same definitions etc. made it more difficult because I found that I couldn't really absorb the content during lectures much at all because I was so focused on just writing everything down. The lectures went really fast so that if I paused to understand a concept or ask a friend a short question, I found that it was hard to catch up even if it was a break for a minute or two. Having hard copy lecture notes would allow me not to focus on writing it all down perfectly and worry about the content later, but rather actually engage with more of the lecture material at the time as well as review the hard copy notes later that I can be confident are correct (and not have small but significant mistakes from me copying down incorrectly).
The lecturers were really engaging, and it's super helpful having past papers to study with, so thanks for putting those up! |
