One day, while a lady was waiting outside a hospital, she happened to glance up at the no standing sign. Puzzled as to why no one was allowed to stand there, she asked a passer-by why anyone would put up such a sign. The stranger replied:

"A great many ambulances pass by this spot, so it would be dangerious to stand here. That's why they put up the sign ...

"No Standing!"
