Course Notes

Lecture notes for Part 1 will be available from the University Copy Centre, Darlington, for less than $10, from Monday, February 14. These notes can not be ordered over the web, but can be purchased from the CopyCentre's online queue. They should be obtained as soon as possible, and brought to all lectures and tutorials. Notes with a release date prior to February 2011 are superseded.

Tutorials

Each tutorial involves some use of the computer algebra program Mathematica; so all tutorials are held in the Carslaw Computing Laboratories as scheduled in the timetable.

Course Messages

Much course information, such as weekly schedules, corrections, hints, assignment due dates etc. will be made available through the course message system on the Mathematics computer system. All course messages may be viewed here, or read at any time in the Mathematics computing labs via the command mess & entered at the UNIX % prompt. It is wise to check these messages regularly.
