directions and links

There are two airports close to Caloundra: Brisbane airport (BNE) and Sunshine Coast Airport/Maroochydore (MCY).

Sun-air Bus Service operates services from MCY to the Rydges Oasis Resort ($30 per person) and from BNE to the Rydges Oasis Resort ($49 per person).

Greyhound Australia operates services from BNE to the Rydges Oasis Resort ($19.44-$30.44 per person). However, this service operates only once a day and departs from BNE Domestic at 13:00, arriving in Caloundra at 14:25.

All quoted bus fares are one-way. Please try to make travel arrangements so that you arrive at the Rydges Oasis Resort by 13:30 on 25 September.

There will be a free bus transfer from Caloundra to the University of Queensland on 26 September, going straight to the opening reception. Whilst accommodation on Saturday night in Caloundra is included as part of the workshop, you need to arrange for your own accommodation in Brisbane for all other nights including Sunday. Good deals can often be found on wotif.com.

For the return flight, it would be most convenient to depart from BNE.
