Magma Mondays Workshop: Daniel Tubbenhauer -- Getting started with Magma

Magma Mondays workshop is a series of engaging, hands-on meetings aimed to teach Magma
to mathematicians at all stages; in particular, no background in coding/computers
required! 



Magma is a computational algebra system that specializes in computational algebra,
number theory, algebraic geometry, and algebraic combinatorics.  It’s an incredibly
useful tool for (tricky) computations, developing intuition, and making conjectures from
examples.  



This workshop is the first of several, and will focus on getting started with Magma;
starting from installation, and explaining the basics.  If you haven’t used Magma
before, you’re highly encouraged to come to this before the workshops in the following
weeks.
