Algebra Seminar

The two-boundary Temperley-Lieb algebra

Jan de Gier

26th October, 12:05-12:55pm, Carslaw 373

Abstract

I will discuss the representation theory of a finite Temperley-Lieb quotient of the affine Hecke algebra of type C. I will also discuss the context in which this algebra arises in the theory of exactly solvable lattice models, and how its representation theory sheds some light on recent progress on a still open problem.

After the seminar we will take the speaker to lunch.

See the Algebra Seminar web page for information about other seminars in the series.
