Computational Algebra Seminar: Button -- Proving largeness of finitely presented groups using MAGMA

A finitely presented group is said to be large if there
exists a finite index subgroup which has a homomorphism onto a
non abelian free group. We investigate consequences of this
definition and show how a routine can be written to establish
largeness, utilising MAGMA functions from both group theory and
linear algebra.
