SUMS: Guo -- Farey Fractions

Ivan Guo is a prolific and interesting speaker, and has agreed to give a talk on Farey
fractions. The abstract is below:

The Farey sequence of order n is the sequence of completely reduced fractions between 0
and 1 which, when in lowest terms, have denominators less than or equal to n, arranged
in order of increasing size. The talk will prove various results associated with Farey
sequences as well as their connections to Ford Circles, Pick’s Theorem, the Stern-Brocot
tree and continued fractions.

There will be free pizza and soft drink, so please feel welcome to come along. Also,
please remember to take your rubbish with you.
