Algebra Seminar

Combinatorics of Bethe ansatz and ultradiscrete integrable systems

Kuniba

Friday March 16, 14:30--15:20, Carslaw 373

Speaker:

Atsuo Kuniba (University of Tokyo)

Title:

Combinatorics of Bethe ansatz and ultradiscrete integrable systems

Abstract

My talk will be an exposition of the interplay among crystal base, (theory of quantum group at \(q=0\)), combinatorial version of Bethe ansatz, ultradiscretization of soliton equations, which led to the solution of ultradiscrete integrable systems known as box-ball systems and their generalizations.

Before the seminar we will take the speaker to lunch.

See the Algebra Seminar web page for information about other seminars in the series.
