# Combinatorics of Bethe ansatz and ultradiscrete integrable systems

### Kuniba

#### Friday March 16, 14:30--15:20, Carslaw 373

###### Speaker:

Atsuo Kuniba (University of Tokyo)

###### Title:

Combinatorics of Bethe ansatz and ultradiscrete integrable systems

###### Abstract

My talk will be an exposition of the interplay among crystal base, (theory of quantum group at $$q=0$$), combinatorial version of Bethe ansatz, ultradiscretization of soliton equations, which led to the solution of ultradiscrete integrable systems known as box-ball systems and their generalizations.
