SUMS: White -- Automorphism groups of rigid vs flexible graphs

Speaker: Graham White

If we take some structure, for instance a graph G, then the set of
transformations of G forms a group under composition. I will discuss
how the behavior of this automorphism group changes between small
rigid objects, for example cycle graphs, and larger, more flexible
objects, like regular trees. We will also look at the quotients of G
by subgroups of the automorphism group, and see what covolumes can be
obtained in each case.
