Expression of interest: Invitation to host high school workshop for International Day of Mathematics

Pi Day high school workshops

The Sydney Mathematical Research Institute will host two high school workshops as part of the "Pi Day" (International Day of Mathematics) celebrations on the afternoons of Tuesday 12 March and Wednesday 13 March.

Last year, we hosted events on the mathematics of twisting ropes, and ruler-and-compass constructions (view workshop descriptions on the
event page). The events were held between 16:30-18:30, with about 20 students from all over Sydney attending each workshop.

If you have an idea for an engaging activity that you could host, please get in touch with Stephan Tillmann and Larissa Fedunik from SMRI, ideally by mid-February.

You will need a current NSW Working with Children Check. We will organise a room and any items you may need. Two staff members will be available on the day to assist you with anything.
