Abstract: Furstenberg's ergodic theoretic proof of Szeméredi's theorem gave rise to a fruitful connection between Ergodic Theory and Combinatorial Number Theory. After a very brief historical introduction to Ergodic Ramsey Theory, I will present some ergodic-theoretic extensions of the classical Plünnecke inequalities from Additive Combinatorics (joint work with A. Fish).
