Abstract

In this paper we extend a result concerning the connectivity of an arbitrary fibre of a complex polynomial (due to the first author). We show that a (usually) much better estimate is obtained considering the decomposition of the given polynomial in terms of an arbitrary system of weights. Some important corollaries are also presented.
