KTheory and Cohomology Theories.
Thursday 8th July, 121pm, Carslaw 375. (Note unusual time!)
We offer a brief introduction to the evolution of
algebraic and topological Ktheory, and we discuss various
relationships between these Ktheories and cohomology theories.
Mention will be made of a recent theorem of myself and Andrei
Suslin. We shall also discuss work in progress with Mark Walker
which entails a theory intermediate between algebraic and
topological Ktheory, a theory which relates to earlier joint
work of myself and Blaine Lawson.
