Research Interests

Theoretical and computational neurobiology.

1. Synaptic function: excocytosis, transmitter release and diffusion, calcium influx and calcium stores.
2. Smooth muscle: bidomain models, interpretation of intracellular and extracellular recordings, detailed modelling of individual cells.
3. Neural network models of associative memory.
4. Developmental neurobiology.
