Quotients of shifted Yangians

For any simple Lie algebra there is a Yangian, which is an infinite-dimensional Hopf algebra. After reviewing some background on Yangians we will discuss certain subquotients, which are related to Poisson subvarieties of the affine Grassmannian. We will then describe on-going work studying the representation theory of these algebras, and in particular the combinatorics of their highest weight irreducible modules.
