Recent results about polyhedral products and toric spaces

Abstract
A report on the work of Ali Al-Raisi and on joint work with Martin
Bendersky, Fred Cohen and Sam Gitler. The topics to be discussed will include the
equivariance properties of the stable splitting of polyhedral products and applications, the quotients or certain real moment-angle manifolds by the action of cyclic groups and a calculation of the cohomology of polyhedral products.
If time allows, I shall say something about the cohomology of the free loop
spaces of certain
toric spaces.
