Hochschild cohomology of flag varieties
Originating in the study of associative algebras, Hochschild cohomology of a projective variety captures a generalized deformation theory of the variety and has a rich underlying algebraic structure. For the case of flag varieties, this cohomology theory also carries an interesting representation structure for the corresponding group--although unlike other cohomology theories, very little is known at large. In this talk, we'll introduce some key features of Hochschild cohomology and its relationship to representation theory and a conjecture of Kostant.
