Galois actions on Coxeter groups and braid groups
Anabelian geometry is one of the lesser-known ways in which arithmetic geometry meets representation theory. This subject studies the action of the absolute Galois group on the étale fundamental group of algebraic varieties. Coxeter groups and braid groups, profinitely completed, serve as examples of these fundamental groups. In this talk I will outline the basics of this theory and propose a version in characteristic \(p\).
