Classification of irreducible weight representations of the Lie algebra of vector fields on a torus

We will discuss a classification of all irreducible weight modules over the Lie algebra of vector fields on any dimensional torus (known also as Witt algebra). The result generalizes a well known result of O.Mathieu for the Virasoro algebra. This is a joint result with Y.Billig (Carleton, Canada).
