Isometries in homogeneous metric manifolds

Abstract

In this seminar we discuss some questions about the isometries of Lie groups endowed with invariant distances or, more generally, of isometrically homogeneous manifolds. We consider some known results, the open questions, and some new contributions. This project is in collaboration with M. Cowling (UNSW) and E. Le Donne (University of Jyvaskyla, Finland).
